Digital Marketing Insights

At CSUSB I have played a significant part in the department's social media growth. Within the past year we have produced over 170 content pieces consisting of designed images, carousal posts, and reels. Since my employment, social media engagement rate has increased +162.1% and follower count has increased +34.73%. This has been by far the highest growth and engagement the department has had within its 10 years of social media operation. These graphs show my first year working for the university

During my short 3 months at Grand Performances, we by had the best social media performance in the history of the company. I was tasked with growing their TikTok page, which had been active but sitting at around 20 followers. After I joined the team in less than 3 months we gained over 1.6 million views and around 12,000 followers, essentially from scratch on TikTok alone.

On Instagram, we would continuously hit our top growth weeks of all time, and had great engagement. I was responsible for much of the content calendar as well as the short-form content, which was consistently our best-performing posts reaching hundreds of thousands of views.

ScHoolboy Q Campaign

I was given the privilege of creating content & promoting ScHoolboy Q, an artist I had been a long time fan of. The label had strict rules & regulations around what media we could use & how we could promote the event. We worked around these restrictions and created well recieved pieces of content and promotional strategies. This involved an aproach at multiple angles including cinematic videos, low-budget album cover parodies with our beloved mascot, and giveaways. This culminated to being our top performing festival of all time, with over 6000 attendees. All pieces of content shown were produced by myself.

At Grand Performances, I aimed at making content that highlighted the incredible performers we showcased as well as some that introduced our audience to a more in-depth look at an artist or event. All was made with the inherent purpose of being entertaining and engaging for the audience. Our marketing efforts lead to incredible attendance for the season, peaking at 7000 concurrent concert-goers.

During my time with the Student Union/Recreation and Wellness Center at CSUSB, I worked to produce high quality social media content across their platforms. These videos are fun, relatable, and target students on campus. They also promote upcoming events or programs the center offers with tangible improvement in performance after our marketing efforts.

Media Planning Solutions

At ASM Global, the Creative Operations team tasked me to create a holistic data management solution for their purchased media as well as develop a content calendar template for long term use from our venues. Working with the Creative Operations team, I ensured the purchased media document was adaptable enough to be used indefinitely and comprehensive enough to be useful for all aspects of the media buying process. on top of this, I developed a simple content calendar that can be adaptable to any venue's needs.

A project given to me along with a small group of interns at ASM Global was being assigned a specific city and having to design a grand opening and integrated marketing campaign for a hypothetical venue in the city. Along with the team, we developed a holistic campaign for our venue including introduction video, email campaign, social media page, and more before pitching the venue to a board of higher-ups.

"Activate Yourself" Campaign

The "Activate Yourself" campaign was a project I worked on to strengthen brand image and recognition for the Recreation and Wellness Center at CSUSB. The campaign was planned and shot prior to the semester it was uploaded. I collaborated with a videographer to record cinematic self care and workout content, followed with the brand's tagline "Activate Yourself". This was then uploaded to the Center's social media once a week, keeping a consistent backlog of content.

Photography began as a hobby, and as I improved became an asset in my career. These pictures are both freelance work and shots I personally am proud of. I enjoy capturing portraits, landscapes, and story telling through photos.
